but i played the game before then i just updated the steam/game and now i cant play

The game got an update three months ago. Valve removed support for the deprecated OpenGL and instead only use Metal now. So, your Macbook no longer meets the system requirements to run the game. Try something a bit less older than a Macbook from 2010.
