Also, when the Steam client resrtarted/reloaded itself the drop down menus for like "Community" didn't show the menu items on hover. Had to quit and restart the client.
On a MacBook Pro 16: assuming probably also iMac or just generally the primary display in a multi-monitor setup
1. Cannot move the steam client window higher on the Y axis than the menu bar in macOS.
Which means
2. Can't move it to a 2nd monitor AT ALL when the external monitor is arranged on top of the current display.
Hilariously I switched the arrangement to have my external monitor below the "intenral" monitor and was able to move the client to it. But then it SNAPPED below the menu bar and I could not longer move it "up" to the internal monitor. I then arranged the displays again so the external display was above the "internal" one and I could move it back down to the internal display.
It seems tl;dr you cannot move the steam client higher on the Y resolution axis in any multi-monitor scenario higher than the pixel count to the bottom of the menu bar on the primary display. Not sure why this is, but can you fix this? It's annoying not to be able to move the steam client window at will between displays.
