My game quit unexpectedly? (mac)

Hello I just bought a new game (starbound) and when I go into my steam library and I click play game it instantly comes up with "starbound quit unexpectedly" And it keeps doing this every time. I have tried reinstalling the game and that still doesn't work. I have a Mac OS X version 10.6.8.

Could someone please help me? :)

I have the exact same problem with my Starbound playing on iMac. I hate spending money on something that can't even work properly or get some proper help. I tried re-installing the game, but same problem keeps occurring. Great Beta so far. Maybe I can get to the start screen during Alpha.

You're better off posting this in the Starbound discussions section. More people would probably know the issue, as well as on Mac.

You don't have to buy Mavericks, its the new OS X, you just go to the App Store, and it will be somewhere in featured, if not, search for "Mavericks" and it will come up, it will update your OS to the newest version.

Make sure you have version Mac OS X 10.8 or higher.

I tried getting Mavericks but it keeps saying {There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (null)} what do i do?

I saw a front page post on the Starbound website
.ds_store issue affecting OSX 9.1 users (A bug where Finder created an invisible file called .ds_store in the player folder which caused the game to crash).
I think this could be the problem?

Literally just downloaded the game and I'm having the same problem running OS X 10.7.5
Did updating to mavericks work? I didn't know you could do that

I just got the game "Small World 2" and I can not open it. I get the message that "Small World 2 has quit unexpectedly please press reopen to restart." I have this over and over. I also have the latest version of Maverick on my Mac. It doesn't matter. Any suggestions?

UPDATE: managed to get it working by updating to mavericks but the game still quits randomly without fail within 5 minutes of trying multilayer..... still a sweet game though
