My mac won't recognize the Gamestop Xbox 360 controller
My mac won't recognize the Gamestop Xbox 360 controller, I installed these drivers ( http://tattiebogle.net/index.php/ProjectRoot/Xbox360Controller/OsxDriver#toc1 ) so I could configure it, but it just won't recognized it as a plugged gamepad so it's pretty useless, anyone has an idea about how to make it work, or maybe gamestop gamepad just won't work on mac no matter what (I don't know) thankx in advance ;)

It might not work. I have no idea what drivers or standards a Gamestop branded controller would have.

Have you checked in System Preferences? At the bottom of the window there should be a Xbox Controller icon, which the Tattiebogle program puts there. It may be possible to configure it there.
yeah the drivers has been installed and I can see the xbox icon under preferences, but once there it doesn't recognized any gamepad plugged in :S

have you confirmed the drivers are working with an Actual xbox controller?

OK stupid question. I have an Xbox. Are you saying I can use an xbox controller with my Mac? How?

you should be able to, if it's a wired one you should have no problems just install the drivers on the link in my first message and plug it, otherwise you will need a usb receptor, but it should work too ;), I just can't get to work the gamestop variant, sigh

hey i bought an xbox 360 gamestop controller when i went to usa, in my country they are way more expensive. The point is i downloaded tattiebogle and it recognises my controller, so I'm able to fool around and when i press the bottoms the program responds but when i try to play any of my games the camera (in game) turns round and around in circles constantly as if i was holding the joystick and in another game (where you have the menu that shows play game, settings, etc) it goes down constantly as if i where holding the joystick down. it is freaking me out!!! i don't know whats happening nor what should i do. please i need help.

ps: i know its a lot to read but please i really do not know what to do and found no help anywhere else

I bought a gamestop version of the xbox 360 controller for my mac. To configure the controller/to get the computer to recognize the controller I used something called ControllerMate. Its free, and it usually works pretty well for steam. I believe the controls are already pre-mapped in ControllerMate.

If that doesn't work, try something like:
-If you are plugging it into a USB outlet, try testing other things to make sure it isn't just the outlet.
-Try the controller in the xbox, to make sure the controller works.
-Try updating your computer (if it isn't up to date)

you may need to tweek the dead zone of the controller, in the prfrence pane , that may help with the going round and round.

yeah i have the same problem, I got some random controller off ebay cause it was only 10 bucks, and the driver just wont find the controller. I'm pretty sure that its not the fact that its a gamestop xbox controller, becuase its not working with the Microsoft controller i plugged in.
