Logitech Multi-Button Mouse Support

Hello everyone. So I have some issues with my mouse and yes I have searched the forums already to no avail. I am trying to determine what I can do to enable my forward and backward buttons completely/correctly in CS:GO and L4D2 primarily. The back button shows up as LWIN in both games and seems to work ok, however I use it for reloading and it seems like it also triggers Left strafe as well any thoughts there?

Back to the core issue, I have not been able to find software for the Mac that allows me to bind all my mouse keys or to even use a workaround of re-binding a specific mouse key to a keyboard key and using the keyboard key in game (to make the bind). SteerMouse, USB Drive (could be wrong on the name that doesn't sound right), Controller mate, and even logitech control center have been a complete bust for me. I have an M510 mouse. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated. Oh also SourceFinangler seems broken as it doesn't detect any of my games or let me drag them over onto the list?

I am kinda irritated that the OSX support isn't as great as Windows was for source games. I mean yes I understand my mouse issue is probably related to OSX underpinnings not expecting a mouse with these additional buttons, but really?!? Also little ♥♥♥♥ drives me nuts, I get a this game has exited unexpectedly every time I leave a source game, the scroll arrows show up as letters of the alphabet on the steam overlay scroll boxes etc <rant/>

there are multiple apps on osx you can use for this, personally prefer BetterTouchTool cause it's free and has tonnes of options to config for multiple HID input devices. Be careful not to go all crazy on cusomizing all this stuff on osx cause i got some weird input-related issues on osx mavericks myself now, and that is using a logitech mouse as well and they offer some software on their site also but i dislike that for remapping stuff. Also the last bit of your post is AFAIK for as long as i can remember but in general on the latest mac os, some things (like the steam overlay) for example just don't seem to work 100%
