Assassins Creed II and Brotherhood compatible with Mavericks?
I'm about to purchase AC II and Brotherhood since it's on sale, but I want to make sure it works on my OS. I am using a Macbook Pro Retina with the Mavericks OS. Will these games work with this OS? Thanks in advance.

What's your screen size? Also check gameagent.com for a guide to mac compatibility

Thanks, will do. I'm curious if anyone else has had any problems running these games on Mavericks?

Okay, I ran Game Agent and it says 'Might Run' for AC II (because of the video card), however, for Brotherhood, it's flagging the OS, saying this: 'OS 10.5 and 10.6 ONLY. Lion is NOT supported', Does this also include Mavericks not being supported as well?
I don't see why not. Mavericks is much better for games than any other. Usually when gameagent says "might work" it will work (I got bioshock to work even though it said it wouldn't)
I bought the game awhile back and everything still runs fine after the update.
AC 2 Works great for me! Unfortunately, when I run Brotherhood, it crashes as soon as I try to open it. Do you think it has to do with Mavericks? Has anyone here got Brotherhood working?

Work fine for me

Are you using a Macbook with Mavericks as well?
@Knuxchan.
MBpro 2.3 MHz, i7 late 2012, 15", Nvidia GeForce GT650., 4 Gb ram
After Maverick install, Cod4MP crash randomly, Cod ghost crash at start, grid 2 say me that my AMD processor doesn't support the game!!! don't start at all, for say somethings.... but probably because i have only 4 Gb. Obviously for pc games i use Parallels but now I want install Bootcamp because less Ram eater.
MacBook Pro Retina late 2013, 15" with Mavericks. I got AC2 working just fine. But ACB crash every single time I try to get it running. In the description, it is written : "10.5.8 or higher". Good job Ubisoft.
MacBook Pro 15" late 2013. AC2 worked find when hooked up to a monitor 3 days ago. Now I can't get AC2 or ACB to launch. Both crash after PLAY click. Either Mavericks only allows for play on monitor (which would be strange), or something broke with the 1/3/14 Mavericks update. Can't find much on the interwebs about this... Very sad. Haven't even played ACB yet.
This worked for me. Not very pleasant, but still...

Thanks! That did help me get Brotherhood going. Still can't get AC2 started as there is no acbmp_sf file to make it open. But ACB is better than nothing :)
Well, just tested my earlier theory. The ONLY way I can get AC2 working (and it does perfectly) is to hook up to an external monitor! How bizarre is that?

So, if anyone is getting the launch crash still with AC2, just hook up to TV, projector, or monitor and maybe it will work for you too.

CORRECTION: Now it actually works fine normally without external screen. Once I started up AC2 from the monitor and then unhooked, everything went back to normal. Brotherhood still requires the above work around, though.

AC Brotherhood crushes by bad Ubi Launcher. The trick is to copy AC2's Ubi Launcher, to Brotherhoods folder, and it would works fine. You can find it in: "Username/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Assassin's Creed II/Ubisoft", and just need to copy to "User/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Assassin's Creed Brotherhood/Ubisoft".
If anyone needs the launcher it can be downloaded from here: http://static3.cdn.ubi.com/orbit/launcher_installer/UbisoftGameLauncher.mpkg.zip

Usage:
Double-click on the downloaded "UbisoftGameLauncher.mpkg.zip". Now right-click on "UbisoftGameLauncher.mpkg" and select "Show Package Contents" Open "Contents" then "Packages" Right-click on "ubisoftGameLauncher.pkg" and select "Show Package Contents" Open "Contents" Now double-click on "Archive.pax.gz" It will unzip twice and you'll see the Ubisoft Game Launcher App magically appear. Click and drag the Ubisoft Game Launcher App to Brotherhood folder. (User/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Assassin's Creed Brotherhood/Ubisoft)

Thanks for monitor trick for ACII. I would never find out myself.
