Too old of a computer?

Game Dev Tycoon won't play on my Mac because my computer isn't up-to-date enough, yet there are no new system updates for my computer. Is my Macbook just too old now? It is getting up there in age.

Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

It's version 10.6.8, and Game Dev Tycoon requires it to be 10.7.something, but I am unable further.

What year is your computer? And what kind of mac? Some are incompatible with certain architectures

Macbook Pro. And it's three years old.

so just update your os, check the system requirements for Mac OSX Mavericks 10.9 -- which is free, if your Mac is too old for Mavericks then buy Mac OSX 10.7 Lion from Apple, problem solved.

It won't let me update; that's the issue. I've done all that, won't let me.

that seems to say they are phasing out your OS. I would either see about buying the new OS or buying a new mac. Or windows....yeah go with the windows thing.

Haha, don't worry. I just bought a great new Windows desktop this summer.
Just home for the holidays, and my little brother wanted to play Game Dev, but I guess he can suck it.

yeah he's kind of screwed. You might try installing a dual OS using linux, or the new steamOS. not sure if the game is even compatible but it might be worth a shot if you are really feeling generous with your time
