Steam of OS X Yosemite
Thanks to Apple and Valve, Steam is completely broken for me ever since I updated to Yosemite. Now I can understand Apple being knuckleheads for not even testing to see if the OS X doesn't cause problems (they still think they got that Steve Jobs magic touch), but I can't even play my games (especially Garry's Mod) without my internet connection dropping every so often, Mac freezing and bug problems in game, and the obvious fact that Apple didn't attempt to test this piece of crap OS X. It'll at least be nice for Valve to hurry up and release an update for us so that way Steam would work properly for me (I ended getting a 7-day competition cooldown because my Mac froze while I was playing Competitive in CS:GO and support couldn't do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥). My Mac would work fine and dandy when using Safari and such but Steam is like the motherland of bugs and crashes. I want to see if the Steam Mac client could be fix so it wouldn't be the broken pile of heap it turned to be after updating to Yosemite.

Hey Unrealistic Hacker. I've been a part of the OS X Yosemite Developer Beta for 5 months now (as a 3rd party developer) and have not experienced any of the problems that you've brought up. That being said I have had problems with Mac OS X upgrades not working well in the past that have always been addressed by reinstalling the OS and performing a time machine restoration. Hopefully it's a steam update that will fix your games, but I don't think it's an OS X issue.

Well that's interesting because I haven't had any problems with Yosemite and Steam since I updated a few days ago. I wounder what's going on with your comp. What are the specs on yours? :mug:

That's too bad to hear. But if your Macbook was causing you that many issues, it's probably a good thing you replaced it.
Guys, guys, it is Valve's fault. They haven't updated it so that it follows the Apple OS X Yosemite features like the new close, minimize, and maximize buttons. I hope Valve can fix this bug and have the buttons correctly, and follow some OS X Yosemite features. Hope a Valve worker reads this. :f2_happy:

No, I'm pretty sure Apple doesn't let you download OS X Mavericks when you already have Yosemite. Which is one generation before. STOOPAD
