Running Bioshock Infinite
75% sale Bioshock Infinite! Wow. I am interested, but can my puny mac book air handel it. I have looked at the minimum requirements and compared them to my own hardware, but it makes no sense to me.

Minimum Requirments for the game
Processor: 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (Dual-Core)
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 30 GB
Video Memory: 512 MB
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 3870 / NVidia Geforce 640M

I have a 2 GHz Intel Core i7 (two of them). Is that exceptable or will the game be unplayable?
I have the memory and hard disk space down.
The way I understand it, my video card is an Intel HD Graphics 4000 (1024 MB). How does that compare to this ATI Radeon HD 3870 / NVidia Geforce 640M nonsense? Will the game be playable.

If it's any frame of reference, I have attempted to run Guild Wars 2 on this computer in the past, but it proved unplayable. That game required

Video card: NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800, ATI Radeon™ X1800, Intel HD 3000 or better
and Procesor: 2 Duo 2.0 GHz

Please help me before the insane sale leaves the market.

Thank you for your time

Dude, BioShock Infinite is terribly unoptimized for OS X. On Mavericks, using a 2011 Macbook Pro (2.2 GHz i7 quad core, 8GB DDR3, Radeon HD 6750M (1GB)), it ran on single digits and the low 10s in terms of framerate with the lowest settings, 1440x900 with no AA.

This is pretty much how Aspyr ported games for OS X run save for older titles like SimCity 4 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. Feral ported games, I've had a fantastic time cranking up the settings with games like XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

Not sure what you did wrong there, but I had the game running on my 2012 Retina MBP (2.6 GHz i7, 16 MB RAM and Nvidia GT650M) on maximum settings, with AA and at 1440x900 with a rock-solid 30-40 fps.
