Do you want steam to accept incoming network connecions?
When i launch steam, i am greeted with the above message. I have clicked allow and now i cannot play any steam games (it will freeze on the "starting game" part and i have to force steam to quit). If anyone has a solution to this problem i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for taking the time to read.

Same here.

There is no fix ATM, as far as I know.

Is this a wide spread thing? Or are we the few unlucky ones?

I'd say so, yes.

I just replied to about seven other threads in this forum all mentioning client issues, two of which are Network Connection relevant.

I am not sure, but it might be caused by Firewall. You might want to disable Firewall as a workaround. Go to System Preferences application, open Security & Privacy, go to Firewall tab and press Turn Off Firewall. If the button is disabled, you need to unlock your preferences by clicking on a lock at the bottom left of the window and entering an administrator password.

The problem is not the Firewall; it is the way Valve packaged the latest version. The problem was reported multiple times and the developers ignored the reports. Now we will have to wait at least a few weeks for a working version.
