PLAY OVER FACEIT.COM!!! I RUN VERY WELL !!! I HAD TRY NOW, AND IT RUN VERYYYY GOOD!
So, when using the command in the terminal you have to enter:
sudo renice -20 (number of the process you want to change here)
You can get the process number by 2 way:
-Open the process monitor (into utility) and find the number of csgo process (PID)
-Using the command ps Ac directly into the terminal window
why the number -20? Because this is the highest priority into osx. This is how it is set.
1. Saved back-up of personal files (non-game files) somewhere else.
2. Download Mavericks from your App store purchases.
3. Prepared a bootable USB drive for Mavericks (at least 8GB, but I recommend 16GB).
4. Erased hard drive (basically reformat); tried installing Mavericks without reformatting Macintosh HD but it always fails.
5. Reboot with USB Installer drive.
6. Install Mavericks.
7. Install Steam.
8. Install game (in my case, Dota 2).
9. Optimize video settings.
10. Play smooth game of your choice.
There is a shorter process if you have a Time Machine back-up with Mavericks. I don't really use Time Machine, so I had to do it this way. Hope it helps. Search online for specifics on downgrading.
I know this is way late (I don't play CS anymore) but I made a script that helps launch CS:GO and set the priority level. I'm going to make a new thread with updates
I plugged in a R.A.T. TE mouse which exhibited the same problems as my magic mouse, I then downloaded the software for the R.A.T. TE installed it, re-booted and everything works perfectly even the magic mouse, all yosemite problems have gone, all games function smoothly and even photoshop is working again and all functions are faster.
