All Keys on MBP Keyboard Can't be Used on Steam Client
Running Steam on Mac OS X Yosemite, MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid-2009)

I rely heavily on keyboard shortcuts to get by on Steam on Windows and Linux. On my MacBook Pro, I'm only restricted to typing basic keys, letters and numbers. The Delete and arrow keys don't work on this app (but they do work on everything else), and I can't enter shortcuts for things such as copying and pasting clipboard data into the client and have to resort to the mouse to do that instead.

The only shortcuts I can enter are to load up the Steam settings or the in-game overlay, and that's it. Everything I want to do for entering and editing text doesn't work on Steam client for Mac.

Actually you can copy/paste in Steam on a mac, you use the keys cmd + V to paste and cmd + C to copy. I got a macbook pro 2014 with yoshmite installed and had no problem.

It may work for you, but not for me. That's the problem.

Have you tried another keyboard hooked up to your macbook, then do the copy and paste? because if anything I think it would be something wrong with your macbook, not the Steam App at all, because that is supported for Yoshmite due to other users not having issues.

A USB keyboard has not been able to do this for me, either.

Hmm, that is strange, because my spec is macbook pro, 2014 mid, 8gb ram, i5 core, and 1gb video memory...
