Disable OS Shortcuts (on Mac) for CS:GO
Hi all,

Can anyone advise how to disable OS shortcuts while in-game? It's really annoying when I'm playing CS:GO and I accidentally hit my 'Fn' key, which is bound to Spaces for my OS, and my game is minimized or moved out of view. I'd like to unbind or prevent the usage of a few keys while in-game. A console command to do this would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your response, but I need to do this in-game; not for the OS itself. Outside of CS:GO I want to keep the same keyboard functionality. I just want to disable basic OS shortcuts (like ⌘ + Tab) while I'm in-game. My guess is I will need to input a console command from within CS:GO.

The best way to deal with this is through in-game settings for the keyboard but I am assuming CS:GO does not have that? I am not familiar with the game but I often have to fiddle with key mappings in the Mac OS to reduce conflicts with games that do not allow changes in key bindings.

You should be able to write an Apple script that you can run before and after you play the game to change/disable key bindings. A quick search on the net indicates this is doable. Whether you want to go that route is another matter. :) Good luck.
