Problem Playing Tomb Raider On My Mac [PLEASE, HELP!]

Hey guys,

My friend of mine and I, found out that the new Tomb Raider game is now available for Apple Users, too. Okay, I logged in my Steam account so that I can download the game. I did. BUT, when I clicked the "Play" button, it actually didn't let me. It said that there's a missing file and can't open the game. I followed the Steam's advice and tried to find the Steam folder, which I did a couple of hours later, and I deleted the appcache folder. I restarted my computer and tried again. Still nothing. It keeps telling me that there's a missing folder. What should I do? I really wanna play the game and the fact that I can't, makes me kinda pissed. Please, help.

After reading this (I have been playing in win8 on my Imac) and want Mac version. I went to get it and it says win only. Says I own it (I do on win) I tried to download it and it says 1 of 1 complete. I look in the files and the directory for the game is empty. If I try to run it, it says exe is missing. if I check game cache it says complete and all ok. I suspect its checking my win version? how to get the apple version. I'd like to see if it runs faster as it's the only slow game I have on my parallele's win8 install. (slow meaning I have to run graphics at normal instead of high) and I have to run at low res 1440x720)

had you owned the PC vers? did the Mac version actually download? I don't see the Mac OS icon for the game listed.

Yes! I had owned the PC version and played the game normally. I installed it on my Mac but could not download. :(

Umm, Tomb raider is only out for mac through the Mac App Store right now (at least for my country). Steam release should be coming soon though

Oh, okay. Thank you! The steam says "Install" & "Download", too tho and I thought i was ok.

Jan 30th I read. It says I have it - but it won't download until (I assume now the 30th) of this month. KEWL

OMGosh it's awesome. I have a new favorite game. I was running the windows version on my Mac. And the Mac version kicks butt. The graphics are smoother - I can run in really high res with all graphics on high. Her skin is amazing as well the leather jacket texture on the jacket her friend is wearing is so real. I love this game - it's incredibly immersive... I feel I'm really there. I feel silly when I find myself ducking my head down while I'm playing.

mine downloaded last night and I've been playing today - it's better than win version. So weird... but I just played win version to start then heard Mac version was coming. So I waited a few days and played the same parts over again. I was amazed at the difference.
Controllers don't have near the accuracy of a mouse or the speed of a kb. This game is amazing.
