you have to contact the publisher, it probably has to do with the group that ported the game to mac wanting the rights to sell it. Try contacting the publisher or developer of the game and tell them you would like to see it on Steam.
Feral has had a long history of not putting ports onto Steam, due to the fact that all the money for a game, regardless of whether it is sold on a Mac, PC or Linux machine, goes to the publisher who then distributes payment as needed. As Steam doesn't track which games were bought on which OS, the publisher would be unable to give the porters the correct payment.

Though that being said some of Feral's stuff has started to appear on Steam.

Yeah, that sounds like a reasonable problem when you're outsourcing the porting.

It wouldn't even matter what platform a game was *sold* on, since that has nothing to do with anything. They COULD track which platforms a game is downloaded to -- you can't download a game on another platform (at least not officially), so if a user downloads a MacOS game, chances are that he's on a Mac.

It might still be "unfair" in a way -- people might just be downloading a game to a Mac or Linux box "because they can".

They could just realese the game entirley sepratley, like how when you buy one of the GTA gamees on steam, its gives you 2 difrent games, one mac exslusive, and the toher PC exslusive. and if i were to run up and say "HEY put your god danm ports on steam,More money for you is beter than none!" its still just one person saying that.

XCOM and Rayman Origins, both ported by Feral, are avalible on Steam as Steam Play titles.

Tomb Raider for Mac will be released on Steam on the 30th, also ported by Feral. I would say its just a matter of time till older mac ports from Feral make there way onto steam.

I'm curious where you heard that as I wouldn't assume this is true. Valve is known to track everything on steam, just look at the statistics page, so i'd venture to guess that on which platform a game is bought is being tracked too. I remember Aspyr's old argument for not selling games on steam was not being able to control the price during sales; luckily they came to there senses, as valve has repeatedly revealed how developers make many times more money for there games during steam sales then any other time of the year.

I may have been thinking of that old thing that Aspyr said.

I download PC games on my Mac and play them. SO while they'll know it's the PC version what they don't know is I have a Mac = ( Making them think Mac sales are really PC sales when the opposite is true.
