I am resharing my thread on mac section.

So hello guys, are you bored of getting low FPS on CS : GO on MAC? If you are , you are in a right place. Follow the video instructions below:

I am being nervous while I was recording. I am open for any comment you are going to say.

To download Graphic tools go to https://developer.apple.com/downloads/ and sign up. Then search for Graphic Tools for Xcode 6.3 and download it.
Launch Options: -console -novid -lv -nod3d9ex -threads 4 -high
Additionally codes which help to boost your FPS(There are 2 codes that I forgot to mention about):
muzzleflash_light 0
cl_forcepreload 1
rate 104000
cl_cmdrate 128
cl_updaterate 128
cl_interp 0.02
cl_interp_ratio 1
fps_max 500
net_graph 1

*Moderators you can delete the other post on Steam tips section.

Hi, I would suggest to add +fps_max 60 in launch options. That would limit CS GO fps.
Its likely that your monitor is 60 hz (all macbooks), meaning that it can refresh picture 60 times a second. When graphics card produces more than 60 fps on 60 hz monitor, its just doing useless job. It causes chip to make extra heat, which might not be comfortable when playing on a laptop and, what most important, degrates performance.
this is not true, Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjWSRTYV8e0
When the monitor has more frames to choose from when it's rendering a new frame it can choose a more recent frame (because your gpu is running more frames) The mouse should feel more responsive and feel a lot smoother going from 60 to for example 200 or 300 fps.
lol, just saying, i went back on Unturned yesterday and the FPS was so smooth
this helped me alot thanks bro!
who plays csgo on mac ? -.- just buy a pc for 650 euro its better than a 1000 euro mac
I know this is an old thread but it brought me from 40-50 fps to 80-100 fps :)
I have been using an older mac with 120-200 fps in game and now I switched to a newer and faster one. After I loaded the same settings I thought my fps would kick ass but it turns out to be worse (like 80-120). The only difference here is the hardware and OS (old comp has El Capitan and new one MacOS Sierra).

*MY SPEC*
iMac 27” late 2013
CPU: 3.5 Ghz Core i7
RAM: 32 Gb 1600
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB

After a huge amount of googling I found some solutions. Some users have used the Quartz debug app from the Graphic tools package to turn off BeamSync which is basically vsync. I have also found some scripts that turns vsync off and some other apps called BeamsyncController etc. However, these kind of solutions are outdated and it seems that nothing of the solutions on Google works on MacOS Sierra. I can't find any info about vsync but it seems that MacOS Sierra forced the OS to turn it on. Maybe there other solutions to but I can't find any.

Have someone found any good tricks?
Do you have same problems?
Having some theory how to solve?

It would been good to summarise a good solution and put it on the net because many users are looking for this.

I'm sorry, but cs:go on macOS Sierra is worse than El Capitan, there is a glitch that MacOS Sierra is just bad for cs:go...
I found a solution that works for me. I changed the gfx driver. Choose one of these:

1. Install Cuda toolkit. You will also get Cuda in preference where you easy can update new drivers. https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-downloads

2. Install Nvidia web driver. I dont know why I cant find it on Nvidias homepage but got it from here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312525-nvidia-web-driver-updates-for-macos-sierra-update-12152016/page-1

3. Find your driver here: http://www.macvidcards.com/drivers.html

This driver update also fixed other problems like black screen on start up, gfx glitch on Overpass etc.
Result: Got 250-300 fps on my mac.
Actually, having more than 60 fps is BETTER. All your degeneralizing statements about FPS are WRONG. Having more FPS will make a game SMOOTHER, even if it's only by a little. This is because more actions can go into more frame refreshes. Basically, more FPS = faster response time by monitor.
Thanks! I will try it
