Steam store won't load in client (Mac) Update: solution found!
When I open steam on my computer neither the store nor the community page will show anything. When scrolled over the page the cursor will turn into a hand as if there was something there but nothing is visible, my games library still works normally, though. I have tried restarting the program, logging out and back in, restarting my comp, I even deleted steam and reinstalled it, but nothing works. I have also searched for threads about this problem but they are all from years ago or have solutions for PC only.

Solution Below. Thanks again to Tears for Beers!

If you're on a Mac, click "Steam" in the top right
Preferences
Under the Account tab, change your beta participation to "Steam Beta Update"

I did a quick update, restarted and everything was back to normal

I am having the same issue. The overlay doesn't work either. It's like I'm in offline mode, but all downloads and notifications work just fine.
