Is it worth installing Boot Camp to play recent (and future) games on my MacBook Pro Retina?
Hello everyone,

Here's a simple question, which has been treated over and over on the community forums and therefore prevents to find any specific answer. I'm about to create a Boot Camp partition to run Windows 10 on my MacBook Pro Retina but I’m wondering if most of the recent (and future) games would work with my current setup. I already compared the various specifications recommended by Steam for the games that interest me — Anno 2205, Fallout 4, Metal Gear Solid 5 : The Phantom Pain, amongst older titles — but that’s relatively abstract and I think it’s safer to ask for user reviews directly.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inches, Late 2013)
  • Processor → Intel Core i7 (2.3 GHz) Quad-Core
  • Memory → 16 GB (1600 GHz) DDR3
  • Graphics → Intel Iris Pro (1536 MB) & NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M (2048 MB)
  • Hard Drive → 512 GB SSD
In short, will it be possible to play such games in good conditions, or is it simply too much to ask? Please, spare me the eternal war between PC and Mac users; I’m using my computer for professional reasons and this is only a question I ask myself, nothing more.

Best,

J.

Thanks! I guess I'll give it a try this week-end then… looks pretty easy to install.
What about these new games though, anyone with a similar set up tried to run these?
