Steam won't connect to internet on wifi, but will connect on hotspot
Hi everyone,

I've been having issues with Steam on my Mac for a few weeks now. Originally, Steam wouldn't even open, and I'd get an error message saying that my Mac was not connected to the internet (which was not true, and everything apart from steam worked fine) and that I needed to download updates. Eventually I solved this by downloading the updates on my hotspot, which allowed me to open steam. Steam shows "no internet connection" whenever I am on my wifi, but allows me to open games and chat on my hotspot. However, my hotspot is obviously incredibly slow and most games won't even run on it. Is there a known solution to the "no Internet connection"? I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, and the only other solution I've seen has to do with iCloud+, which I don't have. Thank you very much in advance for any help you may be able to offer.

What MacOS are you using?

And, do you have the built-in Mac firewall active?
