Age Verification Freeze

I haven't used Steam in a few years. I just downloaded it to my Macbook Air. Seems fine as I am scrolling through the store looking at games. But as soon as I have to verify my age it freezes up. I can't even remove it with the task manager, I have to fully restart. Any tips?

Same thing happens to me. And it's not just us, it's widespread. I reported this to Steam Support. I would suggest you do the same.

Same here. Have to shut down Mac to close Steam!

Same here - can't view age restricted games (like STALKER 2).
Btw on Mac you can use Cmd+Option+Esc to terminate frozen apps.

My issue reporting so far has resulted in responses that might be AI telling me stuff I already know how to do that I know won’t fix it. I might continue to chat with the bots a bit longer to see if anyone who’s obviously a human will respond.

Did you enable the beta in the client? That does indeed resolve the issue.
