It says I'm in game, but game won't start/run/launch!!
Hey!
So I downloaded CS:GO, and when it was done downloading, I launched it but nothing happened. On Steam, it says that I'm in the game, but in reality, I'm not, I'm stuck at the Steam menu. I never launched the game before that.

It says I'm in-game, but the game won't actually start. I click play to start the game, the little window pops up and says it's preparing to launch CS:GO, then once the boot-up window disappears, the game never actually starts. I tried a lot of things, but cannot manage to find something that works. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Edit: The main error is
Failed to load the launcher (dlopen(bin/launcher.dylib, 2): image not found)

http://prntscr.com/9hifgs This happens. I'm stuck on that page. There's no window with the game on. In task manager, there's no Counter Strike, just a Steam page that I can forcequit.

Have you tried these
-Verify Integrity of the game Cache (can be found on properties of the game)
-Restart PC and Steam
If you haven't, do the following

If nothing works, then reinstalling the CSGO might be the solution.

I've already done everything you said.

If the game is open you should be able to see Counter Strike: Global Offensive when you go to the "Force Quit" button underneath the apple logo in the top left of the screen.

If it says that it's there, hold the Command button and press tab. There should be a tab that says "CS: GO" in grey letters. Cycle to it and let go, it should bring you in-game as soon as you let go.

If this doesn't happen / the game isn't actually open, try adjusting your steam settings. This can be found by pressing "Command" and "," at the same time when steam is the current application running. You may need to adjust some steam settings, under the "Downloads" tab. Try fiddling with the region that you are downloading from, sometimes you can get a better download stream from another nearby region.

If all else fails, you can try to delete the local files by right clicking on the tab in your steam library. Try to reinstall, and then try the first step over again.

Hope I could help!!

Thanks, but CS:GO is 100% open, but cannot be found in the task manager. It's really weird. I cannot exit Steam wihout forcequitting, because it tells me that I need to close CS:GO first.

Here's a screenshot (sorry if the task manager is in french): http://prntscr.com/9hvavt

Hmm... Have you tried to delete the local files and re-install them? There may have been a file that didn't download correctly. I would also try to turn off your computer overnight, sometimes they need to fix themselves whilst turned off.

I have been having similar problems; my games refuse to download/update/anything. I think it's just going to have to be patched in the next steam update, because I'm out of ideas as well. If you discover anything new then let me know. Sorry I couldn't help :(

I went to launch the game manually with csgo_osx in the console and this error appears.
Failed to load the launcher (dlopen(bin/launcher.dylib, 2): image not found)
So this is the main error, now that we know it, how is it possible to fix it?

mine says that (dlopen(bin/launcher.dylib, 2): image not found) message as well. Im on OS 10.7.5 and im on iMac. People say if nothing works to upgrade to newest software (OS X El Capitan) but i dont really want to because my mac is fast how it is now. so i know its not my mac i just want it fixed. i think its something wrong with that launcher.dylib file. even though it says image not found i have the file so idk whats wrong ://
