How do i tell if a game will work on my mac?
I am trying to get Age of Empires II HD. I want to buy it but before i do i want to make sure i can actually play it on this computer.

Check the system requirements and compare it to your mac, but if it still does not work after purchase, request a refund

I just searched it up, and it looks like it is a Windows-only game (not available on mac). To tell if a game is mac-compatible/or not, above the play/purchase button there should be a little apple aka mac icon. If there isn't, and there's only the windows icon, then it's a windows only game. If there's windows + mac icon then it's compatible with both operating systems. In addition, if it's not mac compatible, there won't be a "minimum system requirements" tab for mac, because it's not availabe on mac.
