How to download Windows version on Mac for Whisky bottle?

I've finally got Whisky going, but to create my first bottle I need to download the Windows version. This has left me endlessly Googling for the answer as I can't discover how to do this in Steam.

How do I create this bottle to play Counterstrike: Source?

If you mean download the Windows version of Counterstrike: Source from the Mac version of Steam, that's probably not going to work.

You'll probably need to run the Windows version of Steam in Whisky, then download the Windows version of Counterstrike Source via the Windows version of Steam. Direct link to the Windows installer: https://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/client/installer/SteamSetup.exe or click the Windows logo here: https://store.steampowered.com/about/

As a side note, one of ways this sort of thing is better on Linux with Steam Play and Proton is that Proton includes a Steam API shim so that the Windows version of the game running inside the simulated Windows environment can talk to the Linux version of the Steam client. And also the Linux Steam client is able to download the Windows version of games when Proton is enabled. Shame that's not supported on macOS!

might work in crossover. I was able to install steam and play games as demanding as Terminator FPS. I don't know much about this sort of thing but crossover made it ultra easy I even had diablo 4 running from the blizzard launcher just fine.
