8bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth controller

Using a mac trying to make steam recognize my controller to play Hades. It pairs with my Mac but doesn't appear in steams Controller Configuration nor does it work in game for Hades. Please help and thank you

Which 8bitdo controller is this? I've played Hades fully with an 8bitdo Pro and Pro 2 controller. Mac recognizes this as a DualShock controller. Have you tried to tweak the controller input in the steam client? (My client isn't working right now so I can't check it up for you)

im having this issue with my 8bitdo pro controller (bigSur)
Wont connect to stardew valley at all...

i emailed support but they werent very helpful... claiming that it will only work with apple app store games on mac... (which is obviously a lie cause i tried that too)

Have you checked the controller input settings? Generic input or xbox or the like? 8bitdo works with stardew as well

I have the Pro 2 controller, i tried it again with stardew, it works.
This is my settings in the steam client.

(For the Pro 2 and other controllers that use multiple controller inputs, Mac is A-input)

I am never ever buying an 8bitdo product again. Complete lies. What do you thihk people are gonna play on ANY computer. Oh but it's Apples fault that Steam isn't supported. Don't care who's fault it is, the controller doesn't work, money back please, our business is concluded.

Then dont lol, guess it works for a lot of people but it also doesnt work on a lot.
