Some games aren't able to be individually added for some reason. The file for the game isn't anywhere to be found in the directory, despite being able to locate it through Steam > game > Manage > Properties > Installed Files > Browse. Crossover allows you to run Windows programs on MacOS, including the Windows version of Steam and games. This has been the only thing that's actually getting my games up and running on my Mac.
FWIW I have an Xbox 360 controller, Steam Controller and DualSense 5 controller and only the latter works with my M-series Mac.
