I am tired and frustrated with STEAM and MAC OS and apps (specifically it's HOI4 now) problems

For several weeks now I have been having problems with STEAM syncing with HOI4 update server?. I've sent the screen pictures to Paradox, it's a network problem. I've Of course STEAM is no support it's an app problem. So what do I do to get an updated version of HOI4. Well on my iMAC running the same MAC OS I can download and run HOI4 and update no problem. (it's very slow now). I copy the HOI4 folder and Air Drop or home network it to my Mac Book Pro. I then run HOI4. It say.s I am not connected to the server in the message following the game title yet it runs, connects and I can access my saved games on the STEAM cloud. So this is my problem and I have to remember how to be a network transfer expert to get the HOI4 game files. I have tried uninstalling HOI4 but STEAM is unable to connect through the network and download the files. So I move folders. I am 73 years old and get really tired of always having to try and fix things (I've become a self-taught computer systems analyst). Well sorry for the rant. I should either buy a dedicated game MS machine or ....
