Rocksmith Won't Download

Hoping to find some help here. I bought Rocksmith 2014 for Mac on a disk from an acuitance of mine, and tried to install it. Everytime I try to install, it prompts the install via Steam, however, Steam no longer has Rocksmith 2014, so all it does is download a "Install Rocksmith 2014" game, that when launched, does nothing. I've had a ticket open at Ubisoft forever, but they are basically useless and don't understand my issue. Does anyone know how to install a game from a disk bypassing Steam?
