MacOSX 13 and Steam
Unfortunately for me, I am a person in which my iMac is a mid-2011, meaning that I cannot upgrade my Mac past High Sierra. Is there any way to keep using the Steam client after February 15th? I don't have the money to shell out for a new iMac and don't wish to get a new computer.

Games made for mac in 2010-2015 days wasn't fully native (hello to Aspire and Feral). If they runs ok, you can install steam throught Wine (Crossover, or something like that) and you will get current Steam and games with ~ same performance.

Also you can buy win10 cd key in ebay and install it to dual boot - you will have super framerates, because ports of this games was poor (i'm about Witcher 2, Counter Strike, Call of Duties, ...).

Third way - is dualboot Linux, but games will have same performance as it was on mac.

Also, you can block Steam updates, instruction was somewhere here.

I've tried running Windows on my old Mac (it was also from 2011), and it didn't work out for me. But what my friends suggested to me is to try running a virtual machine with a supported OS. Well, in your case, it could be a solution, but it requires a decent amount of system resources and might not provide the best gaming experience on older hardware.

Downgrading can be a solution if you just use your computer to play certain games. But with other apps, including messengers, you'll see that they either don't run at all or work very slow.

The guide is how to downgrade Steam, not the OS. No apps other than Steam are being manipulated.

Steam is going to the trash come mid feb. I had to start my poker game from scratch, lost all my prizes and awards, starting all over and doing it through (god forbid I'd ever use this) facebook.

It's working fine. I already contacted my team letting them know what's happening. I'll blow ALL my chips before the deadline, then will be happy to listen to that trash can empty steam for good. LAST TIME I EVER TRY IT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Flushing customers because they don't UPGRADE every time the wind blows is just stupid.

Stupid is as stupid does huh? Kiss steam goodbye. Best answer.

Your Steam just will stop receiving new updates. It will not explode or something.

Haha! I like the way you mentioned that it won't explode!
