MacBook Pro (15.4) 2018 runs out of charge while charging when I play games

Hello!

I have the following problem - my MacBook Pro 2018 runs out of battary charge while it's on charge and while I play games.

Apple MacBook Pro 15" Retina Intel Core i9 2.9Ghz 32Gb/512 ggb, Touch Bar, 4 thunderbolts Space Grey 2018.

My charger is 87w.

On some forums I read that charger with 96w can help me fix this issue.

But will it really help? Games run amazing, but the battery drain while charging prevents me from playing.

Has anyone encountered such a problem? Is there a solution?

Can you help me please with this thing? What I can do? Thank you!

The more powerful processor is definitely noticeable under load and we are even reaching the limitations of the 87 W power adapter during our stress test (see screenshot), where the consumption fluctuates between 48-91 W and even the battery is slightly drained.

Yep, charger is simply not strong enough under full load.

Can You help and advice me please? In your opinion, how powerful a charging unit should I buy to completely solve this problem? Since I heard that adapters from Apple are only available up to 96 watts. Will it be enough for me, considering that I have an Intel i9 and sometimes different devices are connected to the thunderbolt ports (external SSD, etc.)
