SteamVR launch error on MAC OS Ventura 13.3 on MAC 2023 with M2 Max chip

An error popup indicates a missing executable in a directory located under Library/ApplicationSupport/Steam/steamapps/common/SteamVR/. The problem is, the rest of the directory path it is looking for simply doesn't exist under SteamVR.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled SteamVR within the Steam app, cleared the download cache, restarted the MAC and the Steam app. The SteamVR executable is dowloaded again each time.

Does anyone have this working on my configuration?
Any guidance would be appreciated.

SteamVR for Mac was abandoned some time in 2020, so it wasn't ever developed for apple silicon. There aren't any drivers available for any headset either. We'll have to wait for Apple's AR/VR implementation.
