Some games crashing on M1 Macbook Air since Ventura
Since around the release of macOS Ventura (or maybe some steam update from that time) some games I install crash immediately after starting them either from steam or after launching from their respective launcher (like Feral Interactive launcher for Bioshock 2 Remastered Port).

Among the listed games are Psychonauts 2, Hollow Knight, Bioshock 2 Remastered, Divinity: Original Sin 2 Enhanced Edition, The Witness.

What's more is that these games work completely fine if steam wasn't launched in this session of mac use (if they dont require launched steam to start ofc). For example:
1) I try to launch D: OS 2 from steam. Larian launcher doesn't crash, pressing "start game" leads to crash; sometimes macOS displays that app has crashed, but mostly doesn't
2) I quit steam and try to launch D: OS 2 from steamapps/common. Nothing happens
3) I restart mac, don't launch steam and try to start D: OS 2 right away. No crashes

Among the solutions I tried to: 1. Reinstall Steam and games, 2. Disable cloud saves, 3. Disable steam overlay, 4. Running games from secure boot — no result.

This is due to macOS Ventura, as always a big OS update can break some games.

For The Witness, there was a fix which was found (I don't know if it can work on other games that doesn't work in your case) :if you go into the game application into the finder (you can access it through steam if you click on Manage > Browse local files) and you try to open it, you should see a pop up which says the game is damaged, if you try again while holding the option button you should be able to let it run anyways

Edit :here is another post which says basically the same thing but in case my explanations are difficult to understand https://steamcommunity.com/app/210970/discussions/0/3470612993467716223/

The problem is that macOS doesn't say the app is damaged but that it "quit unexpectedly". I tried this solution with The Witness and no luck
