Steam App Immediately Closes When I Try To Run It

Hi everyone! I had deleted steam from my mac a while ago but am now trying to redownload it and play some games while I am home for break. I downloaded the application from the Steam website, dragged it to my applications folder and tried to run it. At first, it asked me if I was ok with running it and I said yes. As soon as the application opened in my dock it closed. No error message or anything. I have tried deleting and reinstalling and rebooting my computer. Nothing seems to work. If anyone has had this issue and knows how to fix it I would be very grateful! Thanks!

Same here. I am running macOS 10.15.3 (Catalina).
Installed, reinstalled, deleted it, rebooted, installed from scratch, all the same. Starting Steam, macOS asks the usual security question, then the app does not run - no error message.
Looking around here and searching on other sites as well, there are people who claim it works on 10.15.3, but, I really haven't found any evidence, how they made it work.
If somebody here really has Steam running on macOS 10.15.3, please tell, me how you made it work.

same here, haven' played in a while, but now that I'm locked in, I'd like to hop back on. application looks like it is starting to load, but then just vanishes.

Haven't used Steam for a while, new Install on my Mac OS Catalina 10.15.4
The program looks to install but it does not launch.

Same here. Running 10.15.4. Tried to run tutorial that achi posted 21 Mar, but didn't work (there are also no Steam or Valve files in /Libraries etc. anywhere). Help, please.

This also fixed my issue.
