Launch steam client requires rosetta installation

I just bought m2 MacBook, then I downloaded steam client and installed.
When I launched steam client, it said "to open steam, you need to install rosetta"
I clearly download steam client for Mac with .dmg file. I cannot understand why it requires rosetta.

I checked steam icon > mouse right click > get info > Kind : application (intel)
it says "intel", not "apple silicon"... is it correct??

Please help me to start steam client..

FIXED: I just bought a brand new Macbook Air M3 with Sonoma 14.4 (15 inch / 15", 2024) and attempted to install the steam client but it was failing. I was having an issue with Steam Client, though it doesn't say it requires Rosetta on the initial download open. When I clicked to open the Steam app it was giving me a weird blank error message. So I tried opening the package contents and go into run steam_osx; I was getting an error at first, so I installed rosetta from the command line by using "softwareupdate --install-rosetta" and then when I opened it again, it was able to launch the package updater to get the latest version of Steam Client. Thanks for the previous comments!

yup, it's right. Steam application is still "Intel only", so the application needs "translation".
