Steam for Mac
I'm new to Macbooks and Steam. I've downloaded software (Parellels) to enable me to use Windows on my Mac, and have now installed Steam onto the Windows side of my Mac. (I hope I'm making sense; I'm far from a tech whiz!). If there is anyone out there who has done the same, is it possible to play games via Steam on a Mac using Parelells? Neither of the games I have tried so far have worked!

There's your problem then. The Windows version of Steam requires an x86 compatbible CPU, which the M2 ARM based CPU is not.
That includes Windows games. There are no Windows games on Steam that support ARM based CPUs.

Parallels is not free
Game Porting Toolkit is a technical tutorial for common users, it's still beta until Sonoma is ready anyway

Just play what is supported here like Dota 2, CS GO, Isonzo, No Mans Sky

Sonoma release will be on the next month, and there is already exists GUI tool, named Whiskey, what makes installing Steam and games with GPT easy.

About payed Parallels - that guy said what he already installed it, so yes, he can play some non-native games, like Witcher.

Also he can install non free Crossower or free Wine, but its all will have no sense with existed Whiskey.

Cathulhu said what "everything would'nt work", and thats basicly wrong.
