Any announcements from Valve regarding 64bit support?

I'm missing TF2 dreadfully - has Valve said anything about the prospects of getting games running on 64bit Macs? (Don't even want M1 support - I'm sure Rosetta will run it just fine.

The version of Source that TF2 runs on is from 2009, and Valve hasn't made any effort beyond adding community-created content in the last 6 years. 64-bit support for their older catalogue is not happening.

Valve pretty much has given up on the Source engine and focused entirely on Source 2.
So, unless they update TF2 to the Source 2 engine, like they do right now for CS:GO, i wouldn't hold my breath.

And i don't think Valve will do that for TF2. They haven't done anything meaningful technical wise to the game in many years.
