Cannot stream to iPhone or Apple TV with Steam Link
I have the latest version of Steam installed on my M1 Macbook Pro (16GB) and running Ventura 13.4

I have download several MacOS compatible games to my library and can play them on my macbook just fine.

I have Steam Link installed on my iPhone 12 (iOS 16.5.1) and on my Apple TV 4K (2022 tvOS 16.5) and want to stream games from my macbook to my iPhone.
I have the Backbone One controller for iPhone so I could play Steam games.

However I cannot get it to Work. In Steam Link on my iPhone I have successfully paired with my iPhone, it even recognises the Backbone One as a PS5 controller, which is great.
But once I hit "Start playing" on my iphone, steam on my macbook starts streaming the game to it's own display instead of to my iphone. Nothing gets streamed/mirrored to my iphone. Also the controller buttons are not responsive. The only thing shown on the iphone is a bar at the bottom of the screen displaying some Tip text and a spinning loading icon.

I'm totally new to steam so maybe i'm missing something obvious here, but this sounds to me like a mac / ios bug or compatability issue, perhaps with M1 silicon.

Hope someone can help me out!

I've been having a similar issue, I can connect with my ATV and iPad using steam link app to my PC (windows 11) but when trying to play games it often just hangs on a loading screen like the one described above.
Go to System Preferences on your Mac => Security & Privacy => Privacy tab => Scroll to "Screen Recording" and add a checkbox next to Steam. This fixed my Steam Link app streaming to my iPad and Apple TV.
