First you didn’t really say why it doesn’t work or what your going through. Kinda hard to diagnose.

Secondly yes it doesnt work well on mac in general and worse on Apple silicon (m1/m2).

If you experience the issue where once your Steam client loads and the the window is blank (click and hold the title bar and shake the window it will fix it temporarily)

If you app will not load, then uninstall it, not game folder, just app. And reinstall (but you have to remove all files so probably need a app remover)

I'm still having this issue. any game launched through steam just won't work. a few games say "steam isn't running" and others just crash without warning. I have to force close it because steam won't detect that the application has crashed. Valve's steam support told me to contact the game developers... (All of them?!). It's really unfortunate that there doesn't seem to be a fix for this odd bug

still having this issue too (steam_osx” is corrupted and cannot be opened. You should move it to Trash.) still saying it even after i changed the setting to allowing any app to be installed on mac... i dont understand if it is a Mac problem or the .dmg steam problem...idk help Pls
