I hope they fix this bug soon.
I found that if I open system settings and go to game controllers while steam client is open at the same time and then connect and reconnect the f310 several times it will occasionally connect and stay connected. That's only worked a handful of times though.
Found this thread in GH on how to connect it from the start and looks like I was asked to provide Steam with accessibility to control my computer... but still wont work

UPDATE:
I think I may be on to something... I can get it to "recognize" the control as Xbox/Apple but still wont work.
I followed some steps from here:
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/fix-game-controller-not-working-in-steam
to configure "Steam Big Picture"
-Go to Settings>Controller settings
-Enable support for the controller there
It will most likely show the controller is not detected, disconnect it while on this screen and connect it again while pressing mode (the mode light should come on)
Exit that screen and go back to it and it would now have detected an "Xbox controller" and an "Apple controller"
Then from theLibrary within "Big Picture" go to the game page and navigate to the options (menu on the left) to select the input for this game and can choose between the "detected controllers"
After starting a game, I can see the gamepad being "loaded" but still wont work...
Maybe give these steps a try on your side and see if you can find something I may be missing to go around this bug
The best fix I've found for now is to open steam and go to game controllers on system settings at the same time. I then connect and disconnect the controller until the mode light will stitch on & off correctly, which is about 2-3 attempts. Then everything works fine and I can play any game withe the f310
