Steam on Parallels (Mac) and Windows 11

Hi all,

I´m slowly gettting desperate with running Steam on Windows 11 and Parallels. I cannot save any game in Anno 1800 and if I buy additional packs, they are not loaded. Something seams to avoid the game make any changes.

Maybe someone who had also troubled with this issues and solved them could help me with the right settings in Windows 11?

What I allready tried:
- Run the game as administrator
- Switch off the ransomware protrection

I can add more findings now:
- Steam displays that additional content was installed
- I have checked the games files with the appropriate function from steam
- Restarted

Result: still nothing works:
- No DLCs are available in Anno
- No savegame is possible, I always get when saving and reloading the error code KILI-0601

I agree to the answers that this is a hassle and lots of games (especially "AAA" etc) won't work this way.

But on the other hand I'm happy with playing on my ARM / Windows 11 emulation some older/smaller games like for example TEMPEST 4000

Did you make something special tu run it ? i can even get it to start on my Parallels :(

Sorry, don't have Anno 1800.
Most of my games I play on Parallels/Arm Win 11 are "smaller" games / no AAA which don't are available on macOS or don't work currently...

But games as TEMPEST 4000 or GEOMETRY WARS 3... work like out of the box.
Did you try another game? Some free stuff? Chicken Invaders Universe for example :)
