Deleting an Uninstalled game off my LaunchPad

I just bought tropico 5 and I wasn't a big fan of it, so I uninstalled it from my MacBook and asked for a refund. However, I cant get rid off the Icon in my Launchpad. I hold down on the mouse and the icons shake and it won't let me delete it or let me send it into the trash from that page. I read older subs for people having the same trouble, but it was from like 2011. I also went into my applications in finder and it wasn't there... Any help would be useful. Thank You in advance.

I did a search and found the solution a few days ago, and, of course, cannot find it again. There are other, more efficient, ways to do what you want but I found this method successful. Basically you do this:
1. Go into launchpad.
2. Drag the icon into your dock.
3. Right click on the icon and select Options>Show in Finder.
4. Delete file.
5. Right click on icon in dock again Options>Remove from Dock.

Offending icon should be gone from launchpad.

On Monterey, go to applications in HOME directory (so <your_name> --> Applications), move it to bin end empty the bin.

Here is another way in case the solution by ehyder does not work. As it did not for me.

1. Go into Terminal
2. Type in "cd ~/Applications"
3. Type "ls" to view all the applications
4. Type "rm -r [name of application]"

Example: rm -r XPlane11.app

Note: If the application name contains spaces use quotes to encapsulate the application name. See example below.

Example: rm -r "Sid Meier's Civilization V.app"

works for my mac with macOS Sonoma 14.4.1 :D
it turns out that the icons' location is: ~/Applications/
