Can I play Arma 11 and DayZ on my macbook?

I really want to play DayZ but I don't want to spend £££s on a new computer. Can I play DayZ on my macbook IF I get bootcamp?

I Have OS X 10.6.8
2.4 GHz Intel core 2 Duo
4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

I'm prepared to install bootcamp but I want to be sure before I go and buy Windows disc?

it might get some freeze issues with that. i have also same, had bootcamp and not really works with good graphics. with low graphics dayz sucks.

Your Macbook would probably play both games in Bootcamp. Maybe get a cheap Windows OEM license online? Sure beats 500 quid on an old PC. Mate, I wouldn't buy that PC for long term upgradeability. LGA 1366 CPUs are several years old at this point and there's no new CPUs for it. Same thing for GTS 450, much outdated also.

Yeah, better save up to build a gaming PC if you want to ramp up graphic settings or play newer games. Also, you can buy a newer Mac; these days they all have pretty OK GPU, even a Macbook Air! They also tend to retain their value much better than a PC.
