Has anyone gotten Steam link to successfully work using a Mac/Apple computer?

I'm paying for 1000mbps internet. I tried Steam link on my ipad today in order to beam a game from my 2018 iMac desktop to my iPad 7th generation. iPad is running the operating system 13.4.1 and my iMac is running Catalina 10.15.4. When I attempt to stream a game from the iMac to the iPad, I can hear the music of the game playing on the ipad. But the video never comes through. I did a speed test on an internet browser and its showing that it's more or less 600 up 500 down. But than when I choose the "network test" button from within the Steam Link app on the ipad, the numbers are really low. And the screen says slow connection. How can that be when the wifi tests I'm running on the computer show that I have a really fast wifi connection? Has anyone ever successfully gotten games to stream from iMac to iPad via Streamlink? I can't find any videos on Youtube to show this has successfully worked before. (And i'm not talking about windows/PC's. i know all y'all can get it to work just fine on a PC. I'm talking about Mac/Apple). Please help.

Did a modem reset. now the ipad application says good connection. network test on Steam link application said 105mbps. trying to remote connect again and that wheel in the bottom right hand corner just keeps spinning.
