Stream Launch Failed
Starting the morning of March 4, I have started to get the following message when attempting to launch a Stream on my Mac Laptop from my Windows Desktop. The message is as follows:
Steam Launch Failed The streaming client exited unexpectedly (20).

Streaming has been working for months, but now this. I have attempted to reinstall Steam on both systems, update Steam, rebooted, cleared my caches, and even deleted my local files. The problem persists and occurs in all games.

Anyone else encountering this? Anyone have a solution other than waiting for the next patch?

Same problem, I do not have a solution so far...

I have tried literally everything, reinstalling doesn't work and none of the files are even showing up in my Mac library. Click the steam app, it bounces once and does nothing.

I had this problem when using the Steam Mac beta releases and then I switched back to the stable releases which original fixed it. The latest stable release that came out this week has brought this error with it.

The Steam Link Mac desktop App doesn't even see my Steam PC either.

Same problem here. I am trying to stream from my windows 10 machine to my MacBook Air M1. It was working before the patch I installed last night on the MacBook.

Support just gave me a canned response. I also see a thread about this on Reddit.

I also meet this problem, I think it's the result of the recent update. I can use it with my friends who also use Windows but those use Mac failed.

Same issue here. Got a generic response from support.

my roommate and I both have macs; they updated to the newest client and they can no longer do remote play. I did not install the update, and remote play still works for me. it is DEFINITELY the update causing the issue. ironic for them to break remote play on their 'remote play weekend'
