Stardew Valley Co-op not working

After the update last night I can't play Stardew with my friends. The co-op screen doesn't have an invite code option, nor do in-steam invites work. Any idea how to fix this? My Steam is completely up to date

the same thing is with me. i have stardew on a mac and it won't let me play with other people

I finally figured out why it wasn't working, but it can't be solved :(
On Mac it has recently had an error connecting to and downloading remote play, so stardew valley co-op is not working. I'm pretty sure this is what is wrong, and many other people I know are having the same problem, and they are all on Mac.

Recent steam update made it worse, killed it completely for everyone with mac.
A lot of people(me included) have had issues on and off with it for a few months, but restarting computer, steam, online-status, game etc could fix it temporarily.

...But the June 8th Steam update killed it completely, for every mac. (And some PC????)
No currently known quickfix.
No ETA.

I'm not sure if this is related or not, but please I think it would help if everyone would note some thing about thier situation in detail.

What is your MacOS version?

Can you connect to the Steam network when you start the steam client?

Can you get to the Steam store on your desktop browser?
