Steam macOS Big Sur 11.2.1
Steam doesn't launch on Big Sur 11.2.1. Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

I'm sticking with Mojave until I can get a PC for 32bit games. Good luck solving the problem.

I use Big Sur on a new M1 Mac mini and it works fine.
I have the same problem!
Working here fine.. Big Sur 11.2.1
I got this problem after I accidentally cleaned up the Steam folder, now when I try to install Steam again, I get the error that the file is corrupted.
I have the same problem.......Help!
I'm on an older 15-inch Macbook pro, and I can play a small handful of 32-bit games through Big Sur. Just not the ones I actually want to play :/ . Apple going only 64-bit makes no sense to me.

In the meantime, 'd suggest :

  1. Install a BootCamp partition on your device. I think there are guides how to do this on Steam
  2. Download and use a program like Virtualbox (if you have the memory and RAM for it)
  3. Asking someone you know if you can use and older 32-bit supporting computer for gaming
  4. Just get a new damn computer.
I also upgraded my macbook pro to macOS Big Sur 2 days ago. My Steam opens fine, but I cannot run any of my games, even the ones that are supposed to be compatible with the new system. I hit "play", and the game gets stuck in the initialization process. Very weird. I don't know how to solve this yet.
