Valve please help! Games not launching from Steam on macOS Sierra 10.12.6

I saw that some people are having the same issue that I'm having now:

Every game in my Steam library can't be launched, as in after I try to launch the game, it shows the typical small Steam windows saying "Updating Configurations..." then the game ends itself. It's happening right after the May 27th/26th Steam build for macOS.

Valve please help!

Your suggestion worked! Until now. Valve rolled out the beta made it into an official update. I shouldn't have updated it...games won't launch again.

Yep. Can't opt out of a beta if they push it out as completed "bug-free" software.

Same problem - everything worked fine literally a few hours ago - macOS Sierra 10.12.6 - now Steam client has just updated, and now all games either
A) briefly show the "X Stop" (indicating they're starting) but don't actually start at all and then go back to "> Play"
or
B) I get error message - if I go into the details, it says gameoverlayrenderer 32.dyld malformed mach-o image: symbol table underruns __LINKEDIT

So, nothing changed and all of a sudden with the latest Steam update NO GAMES WORK. Please fix it as soon as possible!

Same here.. Dota 2 stopped working. Tried to reinstall and it dint help. It launches the game and then immediately crashes. I tried restarting my mac as well but nothing helped. I'm on Mojave. Steam please fix this as it is affecting all mac users.

I confirm none of my games work. I get a message saying to check Mac OS compatibility which is a joke because it worked fine a few hours ago before the update. I'm on 10.12.6. Please fix this asap steam.

The same thing is happening for me on OSX Mojave, many of my games not loading. I previously had the Steam Beta client and had the same problem, so I opted out of the Beta and everything was fine until they pushed out the latest non-beta Steam client.
It seems like the issues weren't fixed from the Beta version. Hopefully, a fix comes soon.

Edit: I've reported the issue to Steam support via the Steam client. I recommend anyone else having the same issue to do the same, so we can hopefully get a fix asap.

same, I m on version 10.14.6, and all of a sudden today when I tried to Launch Dota it did not work I tried to reinstall dota and steam and the problem still persists.

I recommend everyone here to report this issue to Steam support. The more we do this, the more possible Valve will notice this issue.

Same problem here. Reported to Steam support via the Help menu --> Steam Support --> issue with Steam Client.
