Gamepad Driver install fail
Everytime I enter Big picture mode a window pops up saying that Gamepad drivers need to be installed. So I exit steam in order to install. The installation fails everytime and says to contact source manufacturer. Any idea how to fix this issue?

This worked in order to get the install to complete, but doesn't work beyond that for me. Keeps telling me to allow despite running the other part. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I'm not that tech savvy.

I assumed it would do it all, but there're further steps possible:

Change Security & Privacy General preferences on Mac
Use the General pane of Security & Privacy preferences to protect your Mac from malware and tampering.

To change these preferences on your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then click General.

Note: If the lock at the bottom left of the pane is locked , click it to unlock the preference pane.

Allow apps downloaded from:
You can protect your Mac from malware by only allowing apps that come from the App Store or from identified developers.

App Store: Select to allow only apps that have been downloaded from the App Store.

App Store and identified developers: Select to allow apps only from the App Store, and from developers identified by Apple.

System software blocked:
If you recently installed new software, it may attempt to load system extensions. Click Allow to load system extensions from the developer of the software.

So if I'm understanding correctly the previous steps you carried out added Valve to the identified developers list, therefore enable 'Allow apps downloaded from App Store and identified developers'.

If it didn't then 'System software blocked' section should apply.
If you don't see the blocked install, install the driver again, then check if you're able to allow it.

I can't recall the specific process but you may have to re-run the installer after allowing it in Security and Privacy. Or it could be after allowing it, it asks for/needs a system restart and then you have to reinstall the driver.
