Unable to download sims on MacBook Pro
Hi,
I recently changed to MacBook Pro and would like to install sims 3 and 4 which were previously installed on my previous computer which was running on Microsoft. The sims are in my library. However, when I tried to download the install button is greyed and I can't download. Kindly need your assistance:/

The Sims 3 doesn't have support for Mac, the store page only shows support for Windows.

You can browse Mac supported games on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/macos

if you are on an Intel MacBook, try Parrallels Desktop to run a virtual machine then run and install Windows to play your Sims games. If you are on Mac M1, you... can't!

If you're really keen to play The Sims and don't mind paying for them again then Sims 3 & 4 are both available for Mac via EA's Origin store. That's a shame given you've bought them already at some point on Steam. According to the applegamingwiki, they work OK via Rosetta on M1 Macs if your MacBook Pro is an Apple Silicon one.

If your MacBook Pro is an Intel model then using Bootcamp to install Windows is likely to be your best option to run them through Steam.

You could also try using Crossover (or maybe free alternatives like WineskinServer, or PlayOnMac on an Intel Mac) to install Steam in a Wine Bottle and then try The Sims games in that. There's no guarantees they'll run well though. There's a video guide to set up Crossover below if you wish to try it. It has a 14 day trial so you can at least try it out to see if it would serve your purpose and work with your Sims games acceptably or not (some games work better than others, but I've managed to get Rocket League running on my M1 Mini through it).
