How do I turn off Do Not Disturb mode while playing a game?

After starting the game, Steam puts the Mac into Do Not Disturb mode and no notifications reach me.

Not sure where you select it, but it may be in the game overlay.

I have this problem too. Not just Steam notifications, ALL notifications. My phone no longer dings when a Text comes in when I'm playing a game on Steam.

I'm on macOS Big Sur

Go to system settings and change the settings for Focus "do not disturb".

One option is activating a focus by App.
Look for Steam there and deactivate or delete this "Schedule".


Not any more on Big Sur but has to be pretty similar… good luck!
