Cant play CS Go - "play" button is grayed out

Hi,

I'm new to CS Go, my brother told me its free so I tried and installed it on my mac. My friends and I are seeking to play causal and online. The steam website told me to load $5 to unlock the features. Is that the case? I got to pay$5, if yes ill do it at this point. I can't play or add friends, can't click on death match tabs etc.

Nothing works. Do I purchase the $5 or $19.99 version? for causal online gaming w friends

You can play for free. As long as you have a computer that meets the requirements.
You can accept friend invites as a limited account, just not send them.
Also, if you purchase prime, you get an unlimited account anyway.

Anyway, what are your system specs?

its i7 16gb, once i launch cs go through steam. It doesnt allow me to click on play. The button is grayed out. I can click on death match etc... but it doesnt load.
